Discover our Educators
Ellyn Ochs is a Level 4 Essentrics Instructor and Essentrics TV workout host who has been teaching in Montreal since 2016. She is passionate about sharing this innovative program that supports a vibrant and balanced body and makes fitness enjoyable and accessible for all. She first became interested in movement and well-being growing up in her hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French from Grinnell College in Iowa, and a master’s degree in translation from the University of Western Brittany in France. After several years working in the translation industry, Ellyn joined the Teacher Training department at the Essentrics Head Office in 2020, where she works on writing and editing projects related to the certification program to support the instructor community.
Gail Garceau is an Essentrics Master Trainer, Educator and Essentrics TV workout host. Gail has been teaching Essentrics since 2013 and joined the Teacher Training department at the Essentrics Head Office in 2014. She works closely with Miranda Esmonde-White on scientific research and the development of the Essentrics program and instructor curriculum. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry while training professional athletes and leading live teacher trainings, workshops and retreats worldwide. Gail is passionate about educating people of all ages and fitness levels on the benefits of Essentrics for injury prevention and improved performance. She enjoys volleyball, snowboarding, golf, tennis and soccer. Essentrics improved her power in sports and relieved chronic pain.
Meg Feeney is an Essentrics Master Trainer L1, Educator and Essentrics TV workout host specializing in Essentrics content and certification curriculum development for Level 1 and L1 Aging Backwards, as well as teacher training support. Meg holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from McGill University and has always been drawn to the art of learning, which she expressed during her many years as a pre-school teacher before joining the Teacher Training department at the Essentrics Head Office in 2014.
She is passionate about children and continues to reach them through different personal projects and platforms. She loves connecting with people near and far and motivating them about the joy and power of movement through Essentrics TV workouts, live classes, workshops, teacher trainings and retreats in Montreal and globally. Her expertise lies in helping instructors get started with the program and empowering a more senior demographic.

Miranda Esmonde-White is a New York Times bestselling author of the Aging Backwards series, a world-renowned healthy aging educator and pioneer in the field of stretching. A former professional ballerina, Miranda created the globally-recognized and science-based fitness technique, Essentrics® in 1997—becoming a flexibility trainer to numerous high-performance athletes and celebrities. She is the executive producer, creator and host of the 20-year running fitness television show Classical Stretch, and the award-winning docuseries, Aging Backwards and Forever Painless—airing nationwide on PBS and American Public Television.
With a worldwide following amongst the 50+ market – Miranda’s fast track program is revolutionizing the way we understand the role that our cells, muscles, bones, connective tissue and joints play in slowing down the aging process while keeping our bodies feeling young, healthy and pain-free.
Based in Montreal, Miranda spends her time developing the technique, writing, and training new instructors. She also travels extensively giving lectures, leading teacher training sessions and hosting retreats.
Sylvie Lebel is a Level 4 Essentrics Instructor and Exam Corrector. She has been teaching Essentrics since 2015 and joined the Teacher Training department at the Essentrics Head Office in 2021. If you’ve called or emailed the department, you’ve probably exchanged with her, or you may have seen her on our French or English Instructor Facebook groups.
Sylvie discovered her passion for movement and teaching 20 years ago through kayaking. She has introduced the sport to people of all ages in her small community of Cornwall, Ontario, and has gone on to train kayak and stand-up paddle board instructors.
When Sylvie discovered Essentrics in 2015, she immediately saw and felt its benefits for strength, mobility, flexibility and pain relief – for herself as a fitness instructor and as a mom of two young athletes on the Canadian National Freestyle Kayak Team.
Of all the fitness classes she teaches, Sylvie has found that Essentrics has had the most positive impact overall on her own body and her students’. It’s also her favorite class to teach! She loves supporting instructors and sharing her love of movement and Essentrics.
