I feel more confident, more limber, and healthier than I have EVER been. Like many other women, I had been hoping to fall in love with yoga or Pilates, something healthy, that I wouldn’t have to force myself to do. I find Essentrics is that missing piece. I spend a lot of time hunched over a desk and I usually have a lot of hip, lower back and shoulder pain. With the Essentrics program – I notice I have a tighter core, better overall posture, and hips that love me better.

I’m a certified Yoga instructor and have taught Zumba, have weight trained and tried all “the latest”… and have never really felt truly connected to any of the above. At 54, I was not really doing anything regularly, and was definitely not at my healthiest and strongest. Since the training, I’m finally doing Essentrics almost daily. And I just want to say…WOW! My body is slowly and beautifully opening up and lengthening in a way I’ve never experienced, especially my shoulders and lower back. It’s amazing. And I love that as I work towards my Level 1 certification, I am experiencing what I hope others will experience in our classes. This is by far, the smartest, gentlest, yet most challenging workout I’ve ever done.

Long story short, I have a familiar tremor that effects my neck and head. I’ve been on medication 4x a day for years. The tremor led to cervical dystonia which then led to complex migraines and vertigo. Since I started Sept. 2016 working on Level 1 Essentrics, I have been able to cut down on my meds to 1 or 2x a day. I have not had a migraine and or vertigo since last October. Coincidence? I think not…For me Essentrics is an investment in my quality of life.

Part of the way the team has committed itself to spending more time on the ice and less time in the clinic this year is the addition of mandatory dynamic stretching sessions after practices. That was something we had been thinking about incorporating for a few years …

The Jamaica fitness retreat was far beyond my expectations! Essentrics is a way of life for me and it was exciting to be amongst like-minded, enthusiastic people. What was really great about this retreat was that the size of the group allowed personal connection with everyone. Over, the course of the week, it was heart-warming to see participants physically and mentally responding to the daily classes and Miranda’s lectures.
I was looking for a workout that I could do despite having a sore lower back. I found Essentrics watching PBS. I was intrigued so I ordered the online streaming. I’ve really been enjoying the variety. It feels so good to do the all over body toning and stretching workouts. My back is better and I’m feeling stronger and toned. It’s great after sitting at a desk all day to move my spine. I feel like the tai chi pliés are helping my knees and I love the stretches for my lower back. I used to be a Zumba instructor but now in my early 50s my body is enjoying the Essentrics workouts.
