I wondered how I was going to stay in shape as I age when I kept hurting myself at the gym. Healing is so time consuming. When I found essentrics I knew I could do this long term and even though I’ve worked out my entire life (jogging, weight training) I’ve never been in such overall good shape as I am now in my 60s! This is doable, enjoyable, and sustainable for a lifetime. I LOVE that I can do the challenges for the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond when I’m in my 60s. I LOVE this program!

When I was 62 (I am now 70) I fell in my home shattering my left shoulder. It was so badly shattered there was nowhere for the surgeon to put in a pin. I was braced and told it would heal but the surgeon advised me I would likely never raise my arm again. Physio was not very effective and I decided to do some physio moves and some acupuncture along with your wonderful program. I am happy to report I can raise my arm the same height as the right and they are beside my ears! No pain and I continue to do your program faithfully every day! Thank you Miranda!

I always loved Essentrics, but even more so during the Covid 19 Lockdown. I found it very easy to do the classes at home and the results were amazing. I was drawn to Essentrics because I have been suffering from Achilles Tendonopathy for a couple of years and have realised that much of the pain is probably due to tightness in my hamstring and up my RHS. After having completed the initial 21 day Essentric challenge I am completely hooked. My foot pain has lessened dramatically, my body shape has changed substantially as far as toning up, and I can now touch the ceiling easily in my house – I am already tall but these exercises have made me taller. Tuesday’s live class was amazing for stretching out the entire body but especially the hips! After hip replacement surgery the body is not responding as well as I would like and parts are much tighter than before surgery. This video was just what I needed! I hope this can be one of the videos that you keep for a longer time than usual. I plan to do it as much as possible and hope to see an improvement in mobility and strength in the legs and hips.

I started Essentrics about seven years ago. I took a year off from work because I did not feel right in my body, mind and spirit. The first week I was trying to decide how to get back into exercise and came across the TV program called Classical stretch. What caught my eye was strengthening, lengthening, healing, anti-aging, etc. I still remember the very first video I tried was Posture with 3 teachers on a beach. I could not last five minutes, that’s how out of shape I was. But I stuck with it and was so proud when I was able to get through that first video! I injured my left ankle many years prior to doing the exercises and could never rotate it to a full range or lift it up. One day I was explaining to my friend about how my body was changing because of a Essentrics. I was showing her a few of the movements and for some reason went to an ankle rotation on my left ankle and it worked! And then had to tell her it heal my ankle!! I have been sold ever since.
I do a variety of exercises, but when I feel off in my body, I immediately do 30 days of Essentrics and I am instantly renewed, restored, rejuvenated and relaxed.
This last 21-Day experience (for those of us in our 50s) was phenomenal! Recently, I had been really doing more with cardio due to a workplace program and neglecting the Essentrics mode of exercise. I can tell the difference in my body and how it responds. At the end of the 21 days, I feel stronger and much better! I just joined the Essentrics TV family and love the variety of options available. I even found some of my old favorites that I had done on local Tv program. My goal this year is to continue to have a variety of exercise, but to definitely make sure that I do my is Essentrics more. I love it!

I just wanted to send a quick note and say thank you so much for essentrics TV online! I am only 30 years old but have thyroid issues and because of that traditional exercise can wipe me out for days on end after only 30 minutes of cardio. I picked up your system about a month ago and admittedly, I have not been consistent until recently but in only a few short days have seen drastic improvement in my movement, energy, and overall feeling of health! I am so appreciative for the access to many different types of exercises. As a mom with two small children, the 25 to 30 minute workouts are absolutely perfect because they are just long enough to do some effective work but also allow me to fit it in around the kids schedule. My chiropractor has also been praising you as well my adjustments are so much better because of classical stretch.

I had been having trouble with my shoulder and neck and also concerned about my balance when I decided to join the 70’s 21-Day Challenge. I also wanted to get into a more consistent routine of exercise. I have noticed that my shoulder is so much better, almost normal and I’m sure that by continuing it will get there. My neck stiffness is gone and my balance has really improved. I really enjoy the friendly nature and detail of the videos. I am continuing with the balance and have moved into weight loss. I am 76 years old, and have been doing Essentrics for at least 8 years (mostly doing the 7am morning exercise videos on my local PBS channel). I started buying the Essentrics DVDs about 7 years ago, and along with the PBS videos, I would add another workout during the day. A few months ago,I joined Essentrics TV and I did the 70s challenge; I just finished the 60s challenge this month. Since then, I have been doing the 50s and 40s challenges, with no problem. My body is easily able to keep up with the 40s. My next goal will be to try the 30s challenge.
I was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) in 2016 – and I am sure staying active has truly helped me with my strength and energy levels – especially since October 2021, when I started treatment (Calquence/Acalibrutinib) for the CLL. My husband does the exercises with me (he will be 81 this month) – and he too has gone from the 70s and 60s exercises into the 50s and 40s with me. We LOVE Essentrics!

I’m thrilled to be a part of the Essentrics steaming family. I’ve done Miranda’s DVDs for nearly 10 yrs. I wasn’t doing them daily – which I found out now after finishing the 60’s challenge – is very beneficial. I have so much energy, less stress and even feel like my mind is clearer. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and thumbs and have found great relief. I sit at my desk all day and have incorporated some of the stretches there as well. Thank you for presenting this most recent Wellness Challenge. About midway through, I tweaked my back doing yard work, and experienced significant pain for about 10 days. During that time, I had to modify the exercises, but stuck with it and worked through the pain. My back has recovered and I feel better and stronger. I did all of the 60’s challenge. I’m 69. It has really helped. I’m very experienced with Essentrics and the exercises, but I find the more I do them, the better I get and I notice things that i didn’t get before. It’s been great to have it on my computer to look at it anytime, or live in the AM. I love the younger trainers also! I have a bad shoulder and the Essentrics helps so much with that. Miranda’s workouts were new to me when I started the challenge. I followed daily and looked forward to the workouts, because they made a huge difference for me. I know that I had lost muscle mass after a neck operation a few years ago. Now I feel stronger, more flexible, and above all, much more confident. Following the exercises on a daily basis had a significant impact on my balance and posture. It was very very helpful to have this daily structure.

I have more flexibility. I learned a lot. I learned to relax before going into a deeper stretch. I loved being told “See you tomorrow”. I loved knowing this can be 25 or 30 minutes a day. It doesn’t have to be an hour. In these days of “no covid travel” I especially loved the Jamaica backgrounds. Everything was perfect.

I’m currently very new to Essentrics. I was introduced by a friend working to be an instructor over the summer and fell in love with the workout she was training on. I could feel it opening the blood flow in my arms and shoulders in the workout. Old injuries weren’t bothering anymore. I joined Essentrics TV in January and was overwhelmed at were to start. The 21-day challenge was amazing first place to start. It introduced me to different instructors and videos so I could get a good range of who I liked and what kind of videos I wanted to work with. Within a week of the challenge I started to notice a change in my muscles and body shape. Even the back of my legs are toning which I’ve never seen in any programs I’ve done before. Better yet I’ve noticed a change to how I reach and bend for grabbing stuff off the floor or high shelves. I signed up for the 21-Day challenge and have done it every day since it started. What an amazing change in my body in that short time! I had been suffering from low back pain for quite some time and it has all but gone away. My overall stiffness has decreased so much. I am loving the focus on alignment — I have always pronated my feet (I’m 71 years old) and this is the first type of exercise that is helping with that….I love the focus on keeping your feet flat on the floor so there is no turning in. What a difference! In the 3 short weeks since I have been doing this daily, I feel so different. I walk and move with such ease now. I will do these exercises every day from here on! My fingers are so much flexible too.In my 30’s I taught aerobic and pilate classes, which as I aged as a runner too, was wearing down my joints. I feel wonderful and have no more pain in my knees . I did the 21 day challenge for 50s. I noticed after a couple of days my legs were becoming more stable when I climbed the stairs or descended. This was the biggest change that I noticed. I also noticed that my arms were tighter than I thought and these exercises are helping to loosen them.

I participated in the 21-Day challenge for people in their 40s and I loved it. I had been doing the Classical Stretch program weekday mornings on Lakeshore PBS (Chicago) since October, but probably missed more days than I committed to. The challenge helped me to make a fitness commitment and stick to it. It also allowed me to get a sample of classes from a variety of instructors which has helped me be less overwhelmed when cruising the Essentrics TV website. I feel that the 40s 21-Day Challenge was a good balance between stretching and strengthening of my arms, core, and legs. I feel stronger and more flexible, and am motivated to keep using the program every day. I have finally found a program that I love and can fit into my busy life. I am so appreciative of the opportunity to participate in the 21-Day challenge, and may try a different challenge next (maybe the one created for 30s). I plan to keep going until the summer and am hoping to see some real changes in my muscle tone. I love Essentrics!

I am new to Essentrics and the age-based challenge was the jump start I needed to start in earnest. The once a week live classes made me feel welcome and connected to the challenge itself and the community, in general. Between the 60s and 70s line up, I was able to find episodes that were at my level of ability. After 21 days, I’m much stronger and confident and I see an improvement in the look of my body. And I’m proud to report that I didn’t stop at just 21 days, but rather have continued with workouts on a daily basis. The online library provides a myriad of options — from prerecorded and live classes to how-to videos and challenges — so I can customize exercise to my specific needs and never get bored. After a long period of neglecting my body, I’m finally on the road to recovering my health for life. Sending much gratitude to Miranda and the entire Essentrics team.

I want to say a big thanks to you all for the recent 30-day Wellness Challenge. The challenge with its morning and evening routines started just as I was beginning to feel defeated by the uncertainties of Covid life. The routines gave a healthy structure to my day and combined with a long walk in the mornings have made me feel better about our circumscribed lives. I’ve been taking that early morning walk for a couple of hours, combining my noon lunch hour with the morning Essentrics routine, and finishing the day with the evening one. Just what I needed.
Thanks too for the new challenge that started today and for the live sessions. It’s fun to see familiar faces from Essentrics online in a live format. I’ve worked with Lauren Mayhew and Severina Gates here in MA, and they prepared me well for taking advantage of your terrific streaming platform.

I am 62 and decided to do my first Essentrics 30-Day Wellness challenge during the Covid-19 isolation. My husband even joined for some. Everyday was something to look forward to. It got me out of my winter slump as it prepared my body for spring cleaning and gardening. Some days I would work far too long in the garden but would make myself do the evening workout then, in minutes, my whole body felt as if had I just restored all my muscles. Essentrics doesn’t feel like a typical workout as it doesn’t take a lot of energy, but gives energy for the day and the evening workouts relax and have even made me sleep better.
The workouts ranged in time with different instructors and different focuses like posture, mobility, or pain relief to name just a few and they were easily followed and certainly never boring. What is great is the overall well-being I have felt. I do more through out my day and actually look forward to working out day and night. You can even tap on a workout you particularly like and keep a list to go back to. Essentrics is different than any other workout, fun and something I can continue no matter what age I am. Thank you!

I did the 30-Day Health Challenge and I loved it! It forced me to do workouts that I considered too difficult for me, but it was a success! You allowed me to surpass myself, to evolve, and to motivate me to exercise every day with our lovely Miranda. With the Classical Stretch program, I am now able to walk without pain due to osteoarthritis, climb stairs (around thirty steps) without gasping, because my muscles rebuilt themselves and work more efficiently. Physical inactivity and overweight are really plagues that kill us slowly but surely! For several months, I consulted a nutritionist, and then I discovered Miranda last fall. Since then, I went from a pant size “5x” to a “2x” and I am on my way to achieve my goal of a healthy weight and a fit body “Classical Stretch” style! I am infinitely grateful to you for being in my life, and for helping me to feel better in my body, and to age “fit” and in health (I can assure you that I am already ready for another challenge!) I am a holistic nutritionist and a bioenergetics practitioner. However, even with all my knowledge of the human body and my ability to ask questions and receive answers regarding how it is functioning, I have been unable to lose post-menopausal weight gain. After all this time, I think I am zeroing in on the root cause and I am beginning to feel my body letting go. The Essentrics work out accompanied by Miranda’s little pearls of wisdom helped me understand more about my body. I have more energy (I learned that it is best for me to do the exercises when I am most tired during the day…) and a greater range of motion. I feel as though specific channels in my body have opened up, allowing detoxification to take place in areas of my body that could not be previously reached. I’ve been a Classical Stretch follower for several years now. The beauty of this 30-day challenge was that it wasn’t a challenge. It was part of my daily routine. I do have some knee and joint issues, but they don’t stop me at all. I walk faster, longer. I can run upstairs. Combined with scheduled fitness and tai chi classes, I don’t feel as though I am aging. The best part is that I don’t feel confined to “easy” routines. I can and do use many of the “advanced” Essentrics DVDs as well as Classical Stretch adapting them when necessary to my situation. I was looking for a workout that I could do despite having a sore lower back. I found Essentrics watching PBS. I was intrigued so I ordered the online streaming. I’ve really been enjoying the variety. It feels so good to do the all over body toning and stretching workouts. My back is better and I’m feeling stronger and toned. It’s great after sitting at a desk all day to move my spine. I feel like the tai chi pliés are helping my knees and I love the stretches for my lower back. I used to be a Zumba instructor but now in my early 50s my body is enjoying the Essentrics workouts.

I have worked out all my life and now that I am in my 60’s, I do not want so much wear and tear and cannot always get to a class due to travel. I wanted to give you some feedback on your 30 day challenge from January 2016 – it was absolutely wonderful. My sister and I both did it and told several people how great it was. I think by you knowing the videos and setting it up our program for us we are assured of getting a very balanced type of monthly workout. I found it much more enjoyable than looking at them all and trying to decide which session to do.

I particularly like the relaxation videos in the evening because they help me relax, and I sleep better. e been a subscriber for a number of months now to ETV and have been doing an Essentrics workout almost daily. I participated in the Health Challenge and loved it. It got me to try other types of workouts and made my workouts more well-rounded (as I work to be LESS well-rounded! lol). I’ve noticed a difference in my body. Especially my legs and my butt. I’m 58 years old and have the mid drift area issue as my biggest challenge. I’ve always been physically active and find the belly bulge a real issue. My husband has had two back surgeries and we think Classical Stretch has hugely benefitted him. He travels frequently with this job and does a Classical Stretch episode in his hotel room.
