About the Live Teacher Training | Level 1
Are you ready to jump-start your journey to becoming a certified Essentrics instructor?
Join us for an immersive 3-day training designed to give you the skills and confidence to teach your first 30 Essentrics apprentice classes with ease.
In this intensive training, you’ll benefit from hands-on learning, real-time feedback, and expert guidance, allowing you to discover the techniques, alignment, and flow that make Essentrics so unique.
What You’ll Learn
This training will introduce you to the foundational principles of the Essentrics program while equipping you with the tools to lead effective, safe, and engaging classes. Here’s what to expect:
- Exercise Breakdowns: Detailed breakdown of every exercise in Pre-Choreographed Workout 1, including proper form and technique.
- Alignment: Understand how alignment impacts safety and effectiveness.
- Teaching Skills: Develop skills to guide a smooth, engaging 1-hour class with confidence.
- Cueing: Techniques for clear and impactful cueing using imagery and precise language.
- Musicality: Practice using music as a tool to enhance movement and energy.
- Common Mistakes: How to identify common mistakes and offer simple, effective adjustments.
- Modifications: Ways to adapt PCW1 to make it more challenging or gentle to meet your students’ needs.
- Equipment: Best practices for using equipment to make exercises more accessible.
You will not only deepen your understanding of Essentrics for your personal practice but also come away prepared to lead classes with professionalism and confidence.
Daily Live Classes
Led by expert instructors, daily live classes provide an engaging way to experience new cues, music and teaching styles – offering inspiration to bring back to your own students.

Julia Bentz is a Level 4 Essentrics Instructor, Educator and Essentrics TV workout host based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She began teaching Essentrics in 2013, became a mentor teacher in 2016, and joined the Teacher Training department at the Essentrics Head Office in 2021. Julia’s roles include writing, editing and leading workshops and live teacher trainings.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Acting, and her experience in that field continues to be an invaluable resource for honing her teaching style, body awareness, and dynamic understanding of how movement affects us – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
As a teacher, Julia draws on her lifelong interest in health and the human experience to help people enhance their quality of life through Essentrics.
